At Fully Promoted Canberra North, we recently had the privilege of embroidering a set of custom hats for @touchedbyalfie — a beautiful initiative created by Ashleigh in memory of her son, Alfie.
Ashleigh and her family’s story is one of love, strength, and hope. Following the birth of their identical twin boys, Oscar and Alfie, at just 25 weeks, the family spent 150 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Special Care Nursery (SCN) at Canberra Hospital. Sadly, after six weeks in the NICU, baby Alfie passed away due to complications from a serious infection that affects premature babies. His short life was filled with immense love, cuddles, and countless cherished moments.
To honour Alfie’s memory and to support other families facing similar journeys, Ashleigh created Touched by Alfie — a fundraiser for the Life’s Little Treasures Foundation (LLTF). This incredible organisation provides emotional, financial, and practical support to families with premature and sick babies, ensuring they never feel alone during the toughest days.
We were truly honoured to contribute by creating embroidered hats for the campaign — each one stitched with care, love, and purpose. Supporting local families and meaningful causes like this is at the heart of what we do.
